      What is the job?

      The mechanic performs maintenance and repair activities on heavy trucks , heavy-duty machinery, and off-road equipment.

      This work include s , but is not limited to:

      • R epairs and maintenance of tractor-trailer equipment , electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, drive train, steering and suspension systems

      • Diagnose problems, disassemble units, reassemble units

      • Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replace parts using mills, lathes, welders, and metal cutting tools

      • E nsure a clean and organized work area

      What you need to apply

      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

      • At least 1-2 years of mechanical experience

      • Welding and Fabrication skills

      • Familiar with DOT specs and regulations preferred

      • Able to work well with minimal supervision

      • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
